Andreea Nowak is Research Team Lead for Climate Action at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT and has more than 12 years of experience on climate change adaptation. Her work focuses on measuring and tracking climate adaptation across scales, with an emphasis on African agri-food sectors. Andreea supports agribusinesses in measuring and tracking their impact on people and nature within the context of climate change, leading technical assistance and trainings within various ag-focused accelerator programs. In addition, she is interested in assessing opportunities to align investment with national adaptation needs and targets and actively contributes to dialogues on the global goal on adaptation under the UNFCCC. Andreea is a PhD candidate on adaptation tracking at Wageningen University and Research, holds an MSc in International Development and Management (Lund University) and BA in Political Science (University of Bucharest).
