Elana is the Managing Director, Kenya at Delta40. She brings experience as an entrepreneur and consultant in the agriculture, renewable energy and circular economy sectors. After spending a decade building Acacia Innovations, an ag waste-to-energy business across Kenya, Elana moved to Open Capital where she served as a senior management consultant. She first joined Delta40 as an Entrepreneur in Residence, then later took on the role of Portfolio Director, where she has been instrumental to the growth and scale of our portfolio companies.

Elana brings a rare blend of founder experience, operational expertise, and investment insight. Elana holds an MSc. in City and Regional Planning from Pratt Institute and a B.A. in Urban Studies from The New School University in NYC.
