Emmanuel is a technology and business development professional with over 10 years of experience in product development, innovation, business development, and risk management in the telecom industry. Emmanuel has had the opportunity to work for major organizations in the region and gained diversified experience, having successfully grown & held positions as a Risk Analyst Team Leader at Celtel, Product Manager of Core products and Devices with Zain Kenya, VAS Manager for Safaricom Ltd, Enterprise Product Manager Safaricom Ltd, Business Development Manager- Mobile and Digital Inclusion Airtel Africa and most recently as Head, Mobile Financial Services in Airtel Africa, Marketing.

Emmanuel holds an MBA from the Management University of Africa and already holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Management Information Systems from Daystar University in Kenya. Emmanuel is an internationally certified Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), a Computer Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and holds a diploma in Computer Electronics and Engineering. Some of Emmanuel’s achievements were the funding, development, and successfully launched in Kenya of the “Airtel Kilimo” platform for farmers in 2012. Emmanuel has also been instrumental in developing mobile insurance products, and launched “Airtel Insurance” in 8 African countries, reaching 3 million customers and generating over $ 2 million in indirect revenue. Before joining Mercy Corps AgriFin, Emmanuel was engaged in technical consultancies for structured networking, audits, and IT infrastructure setup for start-up companies.
