Jacqueline Odundo is the Corporation Secretary and head of legal services at the Warehouse Receipt System Council (WRSC) where she offers legal advice for the efficient implementation and regulation of the warehouse receipt system with a view to reducing post-harvest losses, structuring agricultural commodity trade and ensuring access to affordable finance through the warehouse receipt. 

Ms. Odundo, a food lawyer, has almost a decade of experience on food and agriculture sector issues at national and international levels. She has been involved in the development of the model law on WRS, inaugural food crop sub-sector regulations, policy, legal and regulatory reforms in the agriculture sector, regulatory compliance, commodity trade transactions, governance of food chains, food safety standards and pest control product policy regime. She is passionate about food quality and advertising through product labelling and traceability systems and the uplifting of farmers through sustainable food systems.  

 

Jacqueline holds an LLB from Nelson Mandela University, South Africa, an MA in International Relations from University of Warwick, U.K., an LLM in Food Law with a distinction from Luiss Guardi Carli University, Rome, Italy and a Certificate in Advanced Leadership Program from the AGRA-led Centre for African Leaders in Agriculture.
