Jenny is an experienced Market Development Specialist focusing on the private sector and trade development. As the Country Director for IDH Kenya, her role revolves around steering market transformations that prioritize sustainability for people, planet and progress IDH convenes, co-creates and co-finances projects across a broad spectrum of value chains, from food crops and coffee to textiles and manufacturing. With 20years of experience, Jenny has worked extensively with companies across the African continent including Kenya, to foster inclusive value chains in both agriculture and the financial sectors. Jenny has lead initiatives within Challenge Funds, including the AgriFi Kenya Challenge Fund, Africa Enterprise Challenge Fund, and the MasterCard Foundation Fund for Rural Prosperity. She holds a Master’s Degree in International Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics in Stockholm, Sweden. Based in Kenya for the past 15 years, she remains committed to catalyzing Kenya’s and Africa’s development through the private sector.
