Olujimi (Jimi) Akindele is a financial, legal and policy specialist in sustainable development and clean energy finance with a focus on scaling climate adaptation and mitigation interventions in rural Africa.

Over the last eleven years he has worked on the development of the East African electric mobility market, the financing and enabling policies of utility scale and off-grid power projects, as well as assisted governments with energy infrastructure strategic planning.

Jimi has also supported early-stage startups in rural Africa; he co-founded a rural beekeeping startup in Tanzania in 2012. He has also led legal and policy advisory for international energy advisory firms, and has also served as a wide ranging legal, financial, and strategic advisor for a number of African, Asian and European clients. He is a Consultant with Exa Innovation Studio.
