Shanoo Saran, a systemspreneur, works with global organizations to early-stage local companies on food and agriculture technology, data, finance and climate innovations. In her current role with Food Systems for the Future, she steers the development of nutrition focussed sustainable businesses supported by impact capital. Previously, she co-led the Smallholder Solutions team at Rabobank, led the partnership of Mercy Corps’ AgriFin program with NASA and worked in various senior partnership and operations roles with the UN World Food Programme where she co-founded and led the Farm to Market Alliance – recognized as Fast Company’s 2019 Most Innovative Companies in Africa. She is also an investor and advisor / board member in emerging market’s tech and finance startups.

 

Shanoo has lived and worked across five continents and holds an MBA in social entrepreneurship from University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School. She is a firm believer in the possibility to secure impact for both society and business.
