Will Saab is a Strategy Advisor at IDH Sustainable Trade Initiative. He has extensive experience in working with leading organizations in the agricultural commodities world. For the past years, he has focused mostly on analyzing, developing, and improving sustainable business models supporting smallholder farmers.
Will is passionate about assessing what is needed to create viable smallholder farming models in a broad range of agricultural sectors; identifying which interventions are required to realize these goals; designing, evaluating and optimizing the business case for organizations to deliver these sustainability goods and services to farmers, cooperatives, and agricultural communities; modeling of farm- and program-level agronomic and economic data; and analyzing strategic questions related to topics such as sustainable market transformation and living income.
He is frequently asked to bring a business case perspective to sustainability topics where such thinking has often not been the primary lens. In addition, As former management consultant, Will has supported companies, foundations and non-profits in the development of sector strategies, performance management frameworks, and impact assessments.
