
Samirah Bello
Partnerships Department Lead, ThriveAgric
Samirah Bello has over five years of experience in the agribusiness space and eight years of experience in the community development space. She currently leads the partnerships department of ThriveAgric. She focuses on ensuring the entire agricultural value chain across various African countries has access to operations and financial needs and creates sustainable impact using the SDG lens. Her work has also enabled hundreds of thousands of smallholder farmers and young people to gain access to finance and technology, as well as improve productivity, by connecting them with amazing national and international stakeholders.
She also provides consulting services to a number of organisations, sits on the boards of a number of non-governmental and youth organisations, and has previously worked with several national and international organizsations to have an impact on women and youth. She has further carried out numerous projects centered on education, children’s rights, domestic and sexual violence, youth and women’s empowerment, and governance.
She has a master’s degree in Globalisation, Business, and Development from the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom, where she graduated with distinction. She is a Chevening scholar; Mandela Washington Fellow, where she was trained in business leadership at the University of Iowa, United States; a One Young World Ambassador; and a Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) Regional Leadership Centre (RLC) fellow, where she was trained on public policy management by the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration. Samirah is committed to creating a blend of social, economic, and environmental impact in the agricultural and business spaces to ensure sustainability and growth.
