For over a decade, Mercy Corps AgriFin has led the advancement of inclusive digital agriculture, demonstrating how financial, advisory, climate, and market services can improve productivity, incomes, and resilience of smallholder farmers across Africa and Asia. Working with nearly 200 partners across financial services, technology, government, and development, AgriFin has contributed to shaping scalable models that reach low-income women and youth.

To enhance learning and collaboration, Mercy Corps AgriFin has been hosting annually the AgriFin Learning Event (ALE), establishing it Africa’s premier convening for scaling proven agrifood solutions, bringing together evidence, partnerships, and investment to expand impact for farmers at scale. In its10th Edition, ALE represents a major milestone—celebrating ten years of impactful conversations, while marking the culmination of the current phase of programming under the Gates foundation- ADF II. It provides a platform to reflect on key lessons, setting a forward-looking agenda for sustainable, market-driven agricultural transformation.

As the sector faces tightening donor resources and growing demand for sustainability, the central question is how we scale proven solutions to deliver measurable impact for millions of farmers, transitioning from pilot projects and evidence to solutions that scale and endure beyond project cycles.
