Anthony Mbithi is the Head of Agribusiness at Family Bank Ltd. He formulates and oversees implementation of the agrifinance strategy for the bank. He has previously served as the Agribusiness Development Manager at KCB Kenya, where he was instrumental in design and role out of an inclusive finance program for SHFs in Kenya and Rwanda. He is also credited with introduction of livestock financing program which recorded huge success in the poultry value chain reaching 4,000+ farmers, 60% being women. In his current role, he has leveraged technology, innovative financing, partnerships and technical assistance to catalyse growth of the agri-loan book from less than 2% to 5% of the total loan book in 2 years. Anthony is also certified in the following areas: Gender lens investment, ESG&Climate smart financing and Climate Risks &TFCD. Away from Banking, he shares his expertise as a committee member for the Kenya Dairy Sustainability Roadmap.
