Eugene Gikonyo is an Investment Principal at Prosper Global Ventures (formerly Mercy Corps Ventures), where he leads the East Africa & Southern Africa investment strategy and drives the organization’s investment agenda across the region. He brings over ten years of experience spanning impact investing and investment banking. Prior to joining Prosper Global Ventures, he served as an Investment Associate at the Global Innovation Fund and an Investment Analyst at Global Partnerships’ Social Venture Fund. In these roles, he supported efforts in portfolio monitoring, pipeline development, due diligence, and investment analysis to support the strategic objectives of the funds. He holds an MSc in Mathematical Trading & Finance from Bayes Business School (formerly Cass Business School) and a BSc in Economics with Finance from The University of Sheffield
